Five years ago, the City of Wapakoneta passed Ordinance 2020-38R which allowed for the creation of a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA). The DORA allows for the consumption of outdoor beverages during special events in the highlighted area attached. To continue the use of the DORA, the City of Wapakoneta must pass an ordinance, after a period of five years, approving its continuation. Ordinance 2025-33 is currently in the legislative process with City Council. As part of that process, City Council would like to hear from any community members that may have thoughts on the continuation of the DORA. If you have any comments regarding the DORA, please email the Director of Public Service and Safety, Tyler Price, at tprice@wapakoneta.net.
